Piano Corner

PIANO CORNER, hosted by Dr. Hui Xu, is a monthly piano event for all piano lovers. Whether you are a beginning adult or child pianist, seasoned professional, or have a piano studio of your own - PIANO CORNER is a can't miss event for you.

PIANO CORNER will offer piano lovers an opportunity to connect with other like-minded people, improve performing skills, gain a new appreciation of classical piano music and provide a platform to present your talents - all in a fun and positive atmosphere.

• Lectures: From “how to start learning piano” to “necessary skills for professional pianists,” various piano related topics will be discussed by experienced piano teachers. Topics will be sought from attendees.
• Masterclass: This is a public piano lesson for advanced students who are working towards piano competitions and auditions. The student will receive instruction from a master teacher (e.g., D.M.A. or university piano professor) for one specific piece on stage and other students will have the opportunity to observe the lesson.
• Showcase: All piano lovers are welcome to perform their best pieces for a live audience. Piano teachers are encouraged to showcase their talented students and promote their studios.
• Q&A: Whether a beginning pianist, piano mom/dad or an advanced student, all piano related questions are welcome. If you are looking for a piano teacher, this would be the best opportunity to meet and interview local piano teachers after viewing their showcase.
